The G15 is made using high grade magnesium-aluminium alloy and is available in two separate colours. The pearlescent Moonlight White model with white keys or a Eclipse Grey model with black keys. Keys are backlight with white lighting, which looks nice however if you have the white model the light gets drowned out.

Asus have used Precision CNC milling with 6,536 perforations across the aluminium lid for a distinctive dot matrix design. Reflective material is placed behind the dot matrix to add a ‘glittery’ effect which isn’t too much in your face. In order to keep the machine rigid, Asus uses a honeycomb design for strength which leaves only the slightest of flex in the lid.

Altogether the machine has a nice quality feel and a minimal but fancy look which will excite anyone looking for a new gaming machine.

Take a look at the table to check out the different components used in the 2021 model. Asus have made the Zephyrus G15 more accessible with the GA503QM model which uses a AMD Ryzen 7 and RTX 3060 or 3070.

The G15 averages between 58fps – 60fps on Red Dead Redemption II, ray tracing was also not a problem at all. With this in mind the laptop should play any game you choose on QHD without having to sacrifice the best performance settings.

Cooling is extremely impressive on this machine, the G15’s “intelligent cooling” system has two 84-blade fans and six heat pipes. Whilst the fans can get slightly loud (the usual for gaming laptops), they aren’t excessive and you can still hear in game audio without a problem. The G15 has 6 speakers with two of them being front facing. The speakers offer decent bass and clear audio.

The touchpad is massive, at 5.1 x 3.4 inches which allows for accuracy when playing games. The keyboard has a nice feel and has decent spacing however there isn’t a dedicated number pad. Arrow keys are slightly on the small side however given the size of the laptop they seem to fit nicely.
